Prayer
From the Principal
I hope everyone had a wonderful time at the Noorat Show on the weekend. The students were very excited to talk about their weekend.
Myself, Mrs Bouchier, Ms Cole and Wil were in Dunkeld last week with the Grade 5/6's on their camp. We were joined by the Grade 5/6's from St Colman's. The weather was amazing and the students had a wonderful time. The students participated in activities such as the Flying Fox, the Big Swing, Hut Building and a low ropes course just to name a few. I commend the students for their behaviour and thank the staff that went, along with the staff and students at St Colman's.
We have been lucky to have had an Olympian in this year in Penny Smith. This Friday we will again have another Olympian, this time it will be Gold Medalist Grace Brown. See the details below for Grace's visit to St Thomas'
It is another big week of activities ahead as we start counting down to the end of the school year.
Enjoy the remainder of the week.

Friendship & Belonging
It is not always easy for children and teenagers to always know how to manage friendships. Learning how to make new friends and keep them involves a number of skills every young person needs to understand and develop. For some these skills will come very naturally, allowing them to easily move between different friendship groups, sharing their experiences and opening up to new people. For others, this can be much harder to navigate. Belonging to a group that is like-minded with similar interests is highly beneficial to a child’s wellbeing. Friendships are full of ups and downs and it is better for kids to learn how to manage and build their own friendships, even though as an adult carer you may be tempted to interfere.
“The ability to obtain, maintain and retain friendships is, according to all the childhood psychologists in the whole wide world, the greatest predictor of wellbeing. Having a rich repertoire of friends is a true indicator of whether your child is travelling ok.”
Dr Michael Carr-Gregg
